Welcome to Fuller FARMS!

Our small 32 acre farm was bought by Shelly's family back in the 1980's. The previous owner raised hogs here and I've heard there wasn't a stitch of grass anywhere to be found at that time. Not that you'd know it now. It's very secluded because we're in the midst of timber forrest and we're at the end of a dead end dirt road about a mile from the nearest black top road.

After Shelly and I got married in 2002, we lived in the Dallas area for about 5 years. Shelly's a teacher and I work in the technology business doing a myriad of things. After taking a new job in 2007 and through the kindness of my boss, we were able to move out here instead of splitting our time back and forth.

We've been raising Chickens since about 2001 here. Even when we were in Dallas, though we had far fewer birds than we do now. In 2006 we acquired the Naragansett Turkeys from Mike Walters. They're mostly pets rather than 'working' birds like the chickens. We've done some limited breeding but need to diversify our stock to have more success. A local breeder, Dan Nicholson, did the majority of the incubating and hatching this year. He does a really great job!

Those 'working' birds are for the most part Barred Plymouth Rock Chickens. Currently there's 35 of them though we'll hatch some more before summer's out. We also have a few Black Australorp's and a single rose comb brown leghorn rooster who takes care of them. They're mostly older chickens but they've been good producers so far.

There's more to say - but that's in the philosphy section...
